Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
WeFit is built to keep your data yours. There are no WeFit accounts, no WeFit servers holding your personal information, and no advertising or analytics trackers in the app.
What WeFit stores, and where
- Workout and nutrition data you log is stored on your device and, if you enable iCloud sync, in your private iCloud database managed by Apple. WeFit cannot read your private iCloud data.
- No account is required or offered. Deleting the app (and its iCloud data via iOS Settings) removes your data.
Apple Health
With your permission, WeFit reads workouts and heart-rate data from Apple Health and can write the meals you log back to Apple Health. Health data is used only to show your own stats inside the app and is never transmitted to WeFit or any third party.
Food database lookups
When you search for a food or scan a barcode, the search text or barcode number is sent to the Open Food Facts and USDA FoodData Central public databases to fetch nutrition information. These requests contain no personal identifiers. Nutrition-label photo scanning happens entirely on your device.
Social features (opt-in)
Social features are off by default. If you enable a social profile, the display name you choose and summary workout statistics (such as workout counts and total volume) are stored in a shared iCloud database so leagues and friends you connect with can see them. With your permission, WeFit matches your contacts on-device to find friends; your contact list is not uploaded. You can disable your social profile at any time in Settings.
Notifications
Workout and goal reminders are scheduled locally on your device.
